Card – 2017 Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Helloooooooo!

My first post ever! Woohoo!

I hope I’m doing this right…

I made a card for the 2017 Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop:

Serendipity! I bought the “perfect” stamp set to use for this! Not long ago, I had purchased the Dare 2B Artzy stamp set, “Perfect Blend.”

I’ve been loving bright, happy colors, so I ink blended the background with Stampin Up dye inks and a Ranger blending tool, and then spritzed it with water that has some Perfect Pearls added to the water bottle.

I’m finding that some nights, I’m just in the mood/only have time to make backgrounds, so I’ll make a number of card fronts (a piece of cardstock cut to 4.25″ x 5.5″ or 3.5″ x 4.75″), or I’ll just ink directly onto the cards themselves, and then keep them on the side in a container for when I have a card that I need/want to make. When I’m ready to make a full card, I’ll then just add images and other elements to finish the cards.

I stamped the cup image 3 times: once on the floral patterned paper, once on the striped patterned papers, and then the on plain white card stock. I fussy cut the pieces I wanted, then glued it together using Tombo Mono glue. I glued it onto the background (again using Tombo), and then used Lawn Fawn ink to stamp the steam image directly onto the inked background.

I heat embossed the sentiment, using Versafine ink and clear embossing powder.

The aqua dimentionals are Nuvo Drops that I had pre-done on an upcycled plastic stamp packaging that I had lying around, and had let dry overnight. I glued the Drops onto the card with Ranger Matte Medium.

The last thing I did was to use a We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper (Stub/Deco).

Happy crafting!
